4) Please describe any additional campus sustainability activities or projects that you or your group has initiated at your school: For the last 7 years the OSU Organic Growers Club has hosted a free Earthday Hoo Haa at the student farm. The event includes free hot food, free transportation, and free live music. Hundreds of people participate each year and many thousands of seedlings and seeds get planted. All in an effort to get people to appreciate agriculture and ecosystem services that we all depend on!

Key issues addressed and programs implemented since August 2008: We became a club in March 2009, so we are still establishing ourselves. However we have a had some guest lectures and we were just asked to help on the design of a storm water treatment project. We are also working on a demonstration "living machine", which is a wastewater treatment project.
Progress made on each issue/program since August 2008: Became an organization. Working on preliminary design of the storm water outfall project, and the demonstration living machine.

Key issues addressed and programs implemented since August 2008: Research into efficiency in vehicle design for less energy consumption, participation in da Vinci Days celebration in Corvalis, OR to host an Eelctrathon race for high school students and to display our vehicle.
Progress made on each issue/program since August 2008: Have raised awareness of alternative transportation in Oregon through media coverage and participation in the North American Solar Challenge in 2008. Worked with community members and high school students geared around da Vinci Days to increase awareness of alternative transportation.

Provides an educational opportuntity to college students, staff, faculty, and community members to participate in a hands-on project of designing, building, and racing a full-sized solar-powered vehicle.

Key issues addressed and programs implemented since August 2008: CBC was formed in December 2008 and now has a garage, plenty of bike repair tools, and many dedicated folk working on the project. We have instituted a closed-loop bicycle waste stream where we collect abandoned/used bicycles, repair them, and get them out to the community for cash, labor, or trade. We also offer free bicycle maintenance/repair classes and allow people to use our tools to work on their own bicycles. Our mission statement is to empower the Corvallis community to realize the harmony of human powered transportation by creating flexible and inclusive resources.

We're part of the Student Sustainability Center, which is a house on campus dedicated to sustainability. We work in tandem with this organization and support them when we can. They focus on waste, energy, transportation, landscape, food, and other sustainability realms.

I just moved here last year, so I'm not familiar with much. The Organic Growers Club is a very active organization running a large, organic farm on campus. There's also a food group that's part of the slow food movement and provides free food to low income students once/month. They have cooking classes using local ingredients as well.
