College Sustainability Report Card 2009

Loyola College in Maryland is developing an energy conservation plan and a sustainability website. The college currently has no policy relating to campus-wide sustainability initiatives.

Loyola Maryland has a contract with a company that will be conducting a carbon emissions inventory. The college is performing efficiency upgrades with Energy Star appliances, motion sensors, LED lighting, and refined HVAC control systems. The college's motor pool includes electric and hybrid vehicles. A carpooling network for commuters is under development, and free shuttle buses connect the college to the Baltimore light rail system.
