Join sustainability committees relating to campus operations or endowment shareholder practices. Check your school's Report Card profile in the administration and shareholder engagement categories to find out if your school has similar committees. If your school is not included in the Report Card, inquire with appropriate administrators about similar committees.

 

Start a discussion within the school administration about signing the Presidents Climate Commitment and/or Talloires Declaration. Work with colleagues to develop a strategy to improve campus-wide energy efficiency and increase awareness about energy conservation. Explore the feasibility of implementing a green purchasing policy that prioritizes buying office products with recycled content, non-toxic cleaning products, and Energy Star appliances.
